These fine, noodle-like strands are made from a light dough of Gram Flour (Besan) blended with rice flour for an extra crispy texture. The dough is intensely seasoned with chili powder, cumin, turmeric, and a touch of butter or ghee before being pressed through a fine mold and expertly fried until perfectly golden and crunchy. This Karapusa is lighter and finer than standard sev, offering a superb texture and a perfect balance of savory and spicy flavors. It’s an essential ingredient for making Bhel Puri or Chaat, and it’s delicious on its own!
